Solar Wind in A Lab

Scientists have finally recreated the spiralling solar wind of the Sun, within a controlled laboratory setting.

The breakthrough experiment conducted through an alumininum vacuum (known as the Big Red Ball) at the Wisconsin Plasma Physics Laboratory had successfully recreated a spiral phenomenon based off the magnetic forces of the Sun.

The physical sighting being mimicked is known as the Parker Spiral and is responsible for some of the natural functionalities displayed by the Sun.

Ultimately, the Sun contains diverse physical reactions and scientists are only beginning to understand the complexities of the heat-emitting star. The Big Red Ball may provide explanations on the more obscure processes involving the Sun.
